way back in December 2009

We:
*did the obligatory Santa visit (with no tears)
*stopped in at the Pantry Cafe in downtown LA on our way to AZ
*forced two innocent children to pose for an absurd amount of pictures in
front of the Christmas tree

*unwrapped the goodness from under the tree
*realized that we have a new photographer in the family (Grant)
*realized that someone stole my little baby & replaced him with this child that sits up on his own and is eating solid food so well (Kyle)

*lounged on Grandma Linda's bed

and

*worked on our gingerbread masterpiece.

Why, heavens no - the side did not (repeatedly) cave in. This is a gingerbread garage.

Grant's contribution to the project - he placed the gumdrops (then got bored and left)

* * *

All the Christmas stuff is put away (which was easy since I got almost nothing out to begin with) but the tree - sans ornaments - so far remains. It just looks like it belongs there in the corner - huge with it's golden lights. It really makes us look fancy. Or crazy...whichever you prefer. While I know good sense will prevail and the tree will come down very soon, don't be too surprised if you come over some random day in April to see it shining there.
