A Big 25 Week old Boy

Here's the (not-so) little guy at our most recent perinatalogist visit. His hands were up by his face (you can see the hand outline above the nose area). Again the doctor was very thorough - checking his brain, the chambers of his heart, and his stomach. After measuring his arm bone he remarked that Baby has some quite long arms! Perhaps this child will be a clone of Landon - towering above the other kids in kindergarten. His stomach measurement was in the 99% percentile and he's already about 2.2 pounds - the doctor says it shows that he is being well fed and is quite a solid boy. The guess is that he should be a 8 - 9 lb. No wonder I thought delivering Grant wasn't hard at all...he was only 5 lb 12 oz ... let's see what I think about labor and delivery after a 9 lb baby! As long as he's healthy, well, that's what epidurals are made for...

Here's a foot shot - the leg is angled downward to the right with his toes pointing to the right. His feet were up by like this near his head during the ultrasound!

  1. He's so cute already! And yay for big babies - they seem so much less fragile!
